I am finishing up my recovery from malaria now. I got sick on Friday, and was pretty much completely better 24 hours later thanks to some really good medical care.
Better quality care than any hospital. Doctor Jean Claude on the left and Doctor Chrisantos on the bottom.
Trying to get better. Fortunately I did.
When I was sick I threw up a lot. When I threw up the first time I was at the hospital, because that was where I usually am. I tried to use my lab-coat to contain things. Then I left my lab-coat outside for a few days and forgot about it. Unfortunately, with the humidity and heat, it got moldy. The mold went completely through the fabric, and I thought that my second most important credential (after my passport) was ruined. Laundry has always been a struggle for me, even when it just involves throwing clothes into a machine, but here everything is done by hand.
A lot of bleach and hand scrubbing resulted in this. I think I have already reached the pinnacle of my laundering career.
I’m also pretty much completely healthy again, so no need to worry. Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers!
